After all of my tinkering and variation of parameters, I am still unable to push it much further. I also briefly hacked in the Z80 emulator. Of the 3 games for which Z80 emulation is required, Pitfall, Primal Rage, and Mortal Kombat, only Pitfall started working. All in all, the past 2 weeks have been a bitter failure, and now I have finals. "

05/04/2000 - Nemu64 website Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Nemu64 Website has been updated with some news on this emulator, here is the post from the site

"Its about time we update the page with Nemu's current status...
Nemu's main exe, cpu core, and GUI are being recoded from Delphi to C. The reason for this is NOT necessarily because it would be faster coded in C, although it will help us to make certain optimisations in the future. This core is currently as fast as the old core and supports nearly as many games.

The sound driver is now using directsound, which will support all soundcards hopefully. Alot of you currently have problems with no sound because nemu uses frequencies that some cards do not support. This will be fixed in the next release.

The video HLE is still being worked on of course, and you should expect significant improvements in overall graphics quality in the next release. duh.

Many new games like "The Mask of Mujura" and "Pokemon Stadium" use a proprietary flashrom chip for saving your game progress. Well we have already reversed engineered it and it is emulated perfectly in the current build and will be included in the next release. Here are some screenshots of some newly released games that work in the current Nemu 0.7a release. "
Please visit the Nemu64 website for more info :)

05/06/2000 - 1964 version 0.4.0 is released! [Posted by DarkMazda]

1964 version 0.4.0 is released! Here is what is new

    • Ported Gerrit's HLE to Windows; Rampage "works". Many more demos work. Most notable about this build is that the HLE engine is quite peppy. It uses OpenGL and was orginally designed and tested on an ATI Rage card on an iMac. I currently don't have an ATI card to test with.. , but I suspect that ATI cards will give the best overall ogl performance. If you have a card that has poor OpenGL support, I recommend downloading GLDirect from Scitech Software. GLDirect is an OpenGL to Direct3D wrapper that will improve performance _dramatically_ on some cards. You can get it at the following link: http://www.3dfiles.com/utility/scitechgldirect.shtml. I found this wrapper it to work well with a Voodoo3 card, but poorly with a Voodoo2.
    • NooTE added zlib zip support; Now you can zip your images. "Wazzaaap!"
    • Don't hesitate to let off some steam on our messageboard. You can access it from the "MBoard" link on the 1964 web site. "True.. True..."
    • If you have received a prerelease beta of 1964 0.4.0, download this new release. It fixes the graphics "flicker" problem and is faster.
    • I've managed to break 2D cfb demo support in this build, (and a few other things) but I hope to have that problem solved by the next release.
    • Releases will likely pick up again.
    • Right CTRL & Right Shift= A&B, Arrow keys move, A=L, S=R, Home, Del, End, PageDN=C buttons. Enter=Start..a funky config, but works 4 now.. Known controller bug: If the 1964 window loses focus, (as in: you switch to another window) controllers cease to work.. to be fixed. "Hey! Pick up the phone!"
Please download 1964 from our N64 Emu Section.

05/08/2000 - Speccyal version 0.75 WIP released! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Speccyal(Spectrum Emu) version 0.75 WIP has been released! Here is what is new

    • - Support for Neil Breadley's excellent MZ80 cpu core. Some games which were buggy (for instance commando) should be perfect now. But unfortunately some rare other games don't run anymore (now that the source is released, I hope someone will be able to find where this problem comes from :) I think it comes from the way I'm handling interrupts but I'm not 100% sure). You can switch between the two different cpu cores by selecting an option in the "options menu". The current cpu core is displayed in the status bar.
    • - Added AY-3-8910 sound directly taken from MAME. Please note that the sound quality is not very good but I'm quite happy with it, especially if you consider that it's my first try. You could experience some slowdown with AY sound switched on. It's better working in scanlines mode than in "screen drawn in one pass" mode (F3).
    • - Beeper sound code has been recoded. Much better (pitch is correct now) but like AY sound, there are some glitches (I'm losing some buffer segments and sometimes the sound skips). Honestly, I'm happy with it now, even in its current state.
    • - Added a sound preferences dialog box. Used now for selecting the sound options (panning and volume for each of the 3 AY soundchip channels and beeper volume/panning as well)
    • - Speccyal has been tested on a NT 2000 box and it's running in 15,16,24 and 32 bits as well as fullscreen mode.
    • - Released the source code. Please don't make another speccy emulator out of this source, there are already too many speccy emulators out there ! I released it just for learning purposes (and for help purposes hehe, I hope you guys will help me enhance my emulator). Don't ask me how to compile the source, as I won't answer to your questions. 05/09/2000 - mIRC version 5.71 is released! [Posted by DarkMazda]

mIRC version 5.71 has been released! Here is what is new

    • Support for dual monitor displays (in the 32bit mIRC) has been improved by a new option in the Display/Options/ dialog.
    • The 32 bit mIRC now supports .JPG and .PNG image files next to the older bitmap support for backgrounds etc.
    • To prevent you from getting flooded the CTCP Version requests are now queued by mIRC, and the replies are sent once every few seconds.
    • When clicking the "Connect" button to connect to a server, you can now hold down the Control key to force mIRC to use the next server in the list. mIRC has lots of handy functions like this. They are explained in the help file. Some need a little practise, others will come to you by nature.
    • Several things in the Channel window interface changed. The number of users in channel is now shown in the channel titlebar, you can now resize the nicknames listbox in channel windows, you can add colour to the nicknames that are talking (the "Highlight nicknames" option) and to complete things you can now prefix nicknames with their mode on the channel (.@%+) by the "Show mode prefix" option in the IRC dialog. This allows quick insight in the users status.
    • After manual support for the Microsoft Agent was added in version 5.7 (see http://www.mirc.co.uk/agents.html) built in support has now been added to mIRC in the options/Sounds/ dialog. You can easily enable agent events for channels, messages etc. without any scripting knowledge. It has never been easier to listen to IRC! An important change was made to the DCC "ignore file types" feature in DCC/Options/. It now works as an "ignore all except.." filter. This will prevent you from downloading unknown but malicious files from strangers. A simple ignore timer, allows you to turn off the ignore for a small period after which mIRC auto-activates it again.
    • When using wildcards the highlight method now matches the wildcarded text against individual words separated by spaces, instead of against the whole line.
Please get mIRC from their OFficial Website.

      - PC: Mouse now very usable, PC CGA scrolling support in 320x200x2 fixed
(Boulderdash), Tandy1000 Graphics memory switching enchanced (Lemmings),
Joystick changes (slow autocenter remaining), added xtcga with mf2 keyboard
and turbo switch, split the xtvga in xtega (vga with ega monitor), and added
palette handling to ega/vga. [Peter Trauner]

      - C364: preliminary speech added (similar hardware in the C64
cartridge Magic Voice, used in few programs). [Peter Trauner]

      - C128: Esc-x to switch c128 to 40 column mode. Keypad enter to switch
emulator to 40 column mode. In the input keys configuration menu you
should find several key assignments with normal (not reversed)T. Change
these to another key, and the normal T will work. (in the system file
these keys are disabled, until I find a better solution) [Peter Trauner]

      - MACPLUS: driver boots (must use the 68k C core) [Nate Woods]

      - SEGA MASTER SYSTEM: Rewrite of the SMS video code, so quite a lot of games with
interrupt problems or corrupt graphics run fine now. [Charles MacDonald]

      - SPECTRUM: Added support for 128K .SNA and .Z80 files, ensured that the 48K Basic
ROM is paged in when running 48K snapshots on 128K machine (for improved
reliability and access to the default character set), changed +3 initialisation,
128 and +3 now set 0x4000-0x7fff to bank 5 (Now not changed if switching to shadow
screen), cleaned up spectrum_plus3_update_memory, fixed bug in decoding uncompressed
v2+ .Z80 files, and changed running speed of 128K Machines to 3.54690MHz
      [David Robertson]

      - COMMODORE: cbmdrive (memory freeing) fixed, cia6526 tod fix, c128fra fix,
50 hertz machines now really have 50 hz video refresh, c16 1551 simulation fixed
      [Peter Trauner]

      - DRAGON series: Now supports a new variant of the .PAK file format for snapshots.
      [Nate Woods]

      - TI99: Mini Memory Support (rename minimemc.bin to minimemm.bin for it to
work correctly), fixed a bug in banked roms when a hard reset (F3) is done, rom
images are now identified by their filename extensions (image order isn't important
anymore), no need to use NUL when no grom image, both alt -> fctn and both ctrl -> ctrl
added, and new rom image extensions (.c .d .m .g .crom. drom. mrom .grom).
      [Norberto Alfredo Bensa]

      - A7800: Support for bankswitched carts and carts with extra RAM, added 160B video mode,
increased screen height to fix clipping at bottom, updated header format (details can be
found in machine/a7800.c), added support for light gun trigger (not the light gun
targetting yet, just the trigger), and removed requirment for a cartridge (since the 7800
starts in the BIOS it doesn't technically need a cartridge) [Dan Boris]

      Other Changes:
      --------------

      - The core is based on MAME 0.37b2. This incorporates all
features of the update to this core. [MAME team]

      - TOOLS: Disk Utility added (mkhdimg.exe) which will create variable sized HD images
for use in MESS. Can create images from 9,216 bytes to 142,606,848 bytes
without problems. The Western Digital 1004A that is emulated in MESS is
limited to 1024 Cylinders and 16 heads. The sector size is limited to 512
bytes as well as the sectors per track being limited to 17, this is also
due to the WD1004A's limitations. [Randy Rains]

      - TOOLS: Generic image tool added (imgtool.exe) with the following features:
*MAME/MESS style driver architecture; where the image formats are contained in drivers.
Currently, the only driver is for CoCo .DSK disk images, but there could be more.
      *Runs on the command line.
*Commands for listing image contents, retrieving and storing files.
      *Supports images in .ZIP files.
*"Engine" is separate from the "shell"; which gives the potential for front ends for
those who don't like command lines. [Nate Woods]

      - Disk write support for AMSTRAD CPC [Oscar Mart匤 Gonz疝ez]

      - Wave timer fix [Oscar Mart匤 Gonz疝ez]

      - m6510t/m7501/m8502 CPU cores added [Peter Trauner]

      - Extensive CRC updates.
      [Kurunir, Chris Henry]
      SysInfo.dat documentation update
      [Chris Henry]
Please send all CRC/sysinfo file contributions to Chris Henry.

05/11/2000 - SMS Plus for PSX. [Posted by DarkMazda]

SMSPlus(Emu) might be ported ot the Playstation, yes the Playstation. Charles MacDonald updated his website about it! Here is a clip

"Currently, a big problem is speed. Short of writing a Z80 emulator in R3000 assembly, I'm going to try and optimize the display rendering routines, and see what kind of improvement that gives. At the moment, the emulated display is stored in memory, and is drawn at an incredibly slow rate by using the putpixel function of the GPU to draw 49,152 pixels per frame. Not very efficient? I agree. :)

Other items of interest; the emulator runs at 256x240, which is close to the real SMS resolution of 256x192. Oddly enough, the PSX output looks *exactly* like a SMS game running through the Power Base Converter, meaning the Genesis in SMS mode must display more lines per frame. Also, the PSX version of SMS Plus uses caetla, so I can load SMS and Game Gear ROM files direcly off my hard drive, without having to send anything to the PSX beforehand. Very convenient.
    Please visit Charles MacDonald's website.

05/11/2000 - BrMSX version 2.06 is released! [Posted by DarkMazda]

BrMSX version 2.06 is released! Here is what is new

    • Some VDP commands have now the correct timing. This means some games that previously ran too fast will now run at the correct speed, including the intro of "SD-Snatcher" and intro of "Space Manbow" !! If you want to disable this feature, just use the newswitch "-novdptiming".
    • Support to the horizontal scroll of the MSX2+. With this feature, "F1 Spirit 3D Special" runs without bugs, "Laydock 2" is playable and even the MSX 2+ intro works! (is this cool or what? :) .
    • Now the VRAM is emulated as two separate 64kb banks instead of one 128kb bank. With this change, now "Breaker" runs without any bug!
    • Fixed the support to bit 7 of VDP[9], this fixes a small bug in the intro of "Space Manbow"
    • Added support to sprites in SCREEN 8, which is required by "Breaker".
    • Added support to 8x8 sprites in SCREEN 5 (to be used in "GEM").
    • Added support to the high resolution timer at I/O ports E6 and E7. Use the switch "-trtimer" to enable it.
Please download BrMSX from our MSX Emu Section. Thanks goes to MEP crew for the e-mail.

05/11/2000 - TRWin Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

TRWin website has been updated with some news, here is the post

"Thanks for a lot of great input on 2.28. I've decided to move to a plugin based system and clean some things up before moving on to the new core. The plugin specs will be published and i invite you to write your own plugins for TRWin. Bear in mind, the gfx and afx plugins are not trivial to say the least... however, the 'input' plugin should be pretty easy, and we all know TRWin's input device handling sucks... so this would be a great place for someone to help out.

Speaking of controllers... i've just added support for Adaptoids and it really rocks. I must HIGHLY recommend the Adaptoid product. Installation is trivial and it worked perfectly right out of the box. Check out www.wishtech.com for more info.

Also in the next release, the memory expansion pack is emulated and pal/ntsc is switchable.

The big new, however, is that TRWin updates will now be available as WIP (Work In Progress) releases. WIPs will be released very frequently, but with little internal testing. This means that if you download a WIP it may not work as well as the previous full release. For this reason, the last released version will remain on site, and the WIPs will be named TRWinWIP.exe. Hopefully, this will give you the best of both worlds."
Please visit the TRWin website for more info :)

    05/12/2000 - Virtual-E Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Virtual-E website has been updated with some news

"Now the VirtualE project is stand by. I decided to stop working on the project until I finish the EPROM. I have all the pieces to build it except the EPROM, and I even tried to find it with a local vendor without success, so I'll make an order for it in mouser.com and hope to receive this piece as soon as possible to finish it and continue with this project, meanwhile I'm working in the new VE game. I received many emails about a future release of my emulator, and I answered to all the emugamers that the VE Emulator will have a new version only if I find out the Affin mode and the sound processing, only then I will make this new release to work with many new features and make it faster and better. The project will remain freeze until I complete this EPROM stuff which is a real headache. "

Beta 3 of Hyperion is released! Here is the post

"This release should be a little faster than the last beta, for those of you who have used it. This seems better than performing byte swapping and having memory stored in the architecture of the Saturn."

05/14/2000 - Corn Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Corn Website has been updated with some news

"I planed to use a new core in Corn0.3. Currently the new core is only half-finished, so there exists NO Corn0.3 yet. But since I am going do a summer internship and won't be able to touch my PC for 3 months, I made a WIP version called Corn0.3-. Now that all people suggested that I'd release this WIP, it will be released. I have only 68 hours before I leave and I plan to add something important. Meanwhile, I am packing my luggage. Really hectic. So, the thank-you edition of Corn0.3- will be sent after I add the last thing and before I leave (hopefully). It will be released to the public when I settle down in the new place. Also, I may not be able to check my mailbox for a week, so, please be patient.

      Regards.

05/14/2000 - Pretendo Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Pretendo website has been updated with some cool news

"Another update, Yay! Anyways, there are a few things to note. Firstly speed is coming a long nicely now, on my P2-400 i get about 200 FPS on average (as apposed to 130-150 before). Also I just found/fixed an error we had in the Shu-Kondo CPU plugin, IRQ/NMI timing should be better now. And lastly, I have updated the plugin formats a bit, the headers should now be ANSI C compatible, and I added a few things here and there. So if you are planning to develop for the next release, go ahead and download the newer header (OLDER plugins will no longer work). I think that is all for now. --> The Pretendo Team"

05/14/2000 - PowerSEmu Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

PowerSEmu website has been updated with some news

      "Hi!

As I promised on the Messageboard, that I would update my page more often, here are some news:

      - With Scarrows help, I found a bug in my SCU-Interrupt routine and one in my SMPC routine. With an other change in the SMPC routine, I can now decide if the saturn boots, as if started with an empty backup-battery or as if the saturn is already configured (same way as Hyperion starts). And if I choose the configured-way the pad-routine works as it should, so the problem with the pad support, when I boot the other way, must be somewhere else.

      - Started to rewrite my VDP2 code, because the way I started it some time ago, would end up in an unnecessary big code mess.

      Dave "

05/14/2000 - PCSX Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

PCSX website has been updated with some cool news

"I found time at last to update the news page! The screenshots/demos pages have been updated a whole week earlier,as soon as I got back from Easter vacations, with shots from the new gpu renderers and all the demos ready to download. In the files page you'll find all usefull files/plugins for the emulator when it'll be released, along with the main exe. For now,the emu has D3D/Glide/OpenGL/Software support,so all 3d cards are fully supported. It's using the gpu plugins from PsemuPro,so you can guess yourself how good the rendering part already is! Many thanks go to Pete, for his continuing support for his d3d/OpenGL plugins, and of course,Lewpy&Kazzuya for their wonderful plugins respectively, from the PsemuPro times. As for the main emu core, many fixes have been made so even more demos work now (53 in total!). Cd-rom support is coming along nicely,it's the only hinder now for the emulator to start running commercial games. Hopefully Barubary will do his magic on that soon! Also some work on reverse bios calls has been made. That's all for now, let's see when the team will decide to release the emu, before or after cd-rom support? :)

By the way, I wish the best of luck to Roor of AdriPSX fame. He's shown some remarkable progress lately with his emu,and a win9x version is just around the corner!"

Meka version 0.53b is released to registered users! Here is what is new

I finally figured out what was the problem of the major slow down in
some video modes when page flipping was enabled. Actually using page
flipping need to force vertical synchronisation in most video modes, so
enabling them both will make the program synchronise twice per frame to
the vertical refresh, causing speed to be limited to about 30/35 FPS.
The default blitter definition files now have Page Flipping modes enabled
by mode, replacing the obsolote VSync modes.
    • - Fixed a bug preventing files to appear in the file browser under DOS.
    • - Added all known Colecovision dumps to the checksum/names list.Names are based on Cowering's GoodColeco utility.
    • - Game name is now dynamically updated under the GUI is a country change affect the current name.
    • - Fixed "Rise of the Robots" by forcing NTSC mode when it is not enabled.
    • - Added a patch to fix a bug in Wanted (in the game itself) preventing it to works on machines with a FM Chipset.

Speccyal website webiste has been updated with some sad news.. Here is the post

"I have some bad news for you, Speccyal lovers ... I have decided to focus on my social life instead of programming, for many reasons. One of them is that I got stuck in some places (sound programming). Another one is that I got a little bored of this project, but I don't regret anything, it has been great fun ! And the most important reason is that it took too much of my spare time, and now I'd like to spend more time with my friends, family, and most important, my girlfriend. My wish would be that someone would continue my project. Any candidate (if you do so, drop me a line) ?"

05/19/2000 - ZSNES Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

ZSNES website has been updated with some AWESOME news

"Haven't posted a update for a while, so here's one.

One piece of bad news is that zsKnight has pretty much lost interest towards working on ZSNES, so not much progress has been done, thus the lack of updates. However, _Demo_ has been doing something lately and here's a shot of it in action:

However, don't expect this to come out anytime soon since there is still a lot of work yet to be done on it.

Also, in other news, the A version should no longer (hopefully) be needed since the problems of extra memory usage and some commandline problems have been fixed that plagued the C version.

The latest DOS version will hopefully be released soon, however, it does currently suffer from a new problem during mode 7 scenes, so that will have to be fixed before the release."
Take a look at the ZSNESWIN screenshot and more stuff at the ZSNES website.

    05/19/2000 - SNES9X Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

SNES9X Journal page has been updated with some news

"Three months now, and still no release...

Business trips, home DIY, being very busy at work and the final killer, now having a DVD drive on my notebook computer so I can watch movies on the way to and from work, have all combined to make Snes9x development a bit slow of late.

Anti Resonance converted his SPCTool asm sound emulation code to MASM and can now generate coff format object files, that with a bit of fiddling and format conversion, can be used in Linux - my main emulation development platform. I've been trying to get his code working in Snes9x for the past few weeks now, with some success, but its still far too buggy to be released.

Even when I do get his code integrated and working 100%, there are speed issues to resolve - my C code version is actually faster at the moment due to speed hacks and no cycle count conversion being required - and there are freeze file backwards compatibility problems to fix. So, for the moment, I've put SPCTool SPC700 and sound DSP code integration on hold for the second time and its back to Netplay...

...I'm happy with the protocol now, much more stream-lined than the previous version and now has options to send ROM images, freeze files, S-RAM data, etc. to remote players. Just a few getting out of sync problems to investigate and fix. I'm still stuck with what to do with the GUI though.

Sending S-RAM or freeze file data to several remote Snes9x sessions over the Internet is not going to be quick, what I need is a progress bar so you can see how far its got and possibly a cancel button to give up waiting if its taking too long. My problem is that the Snes9x Windows GUI is built using Borland's C++ Builder and it generates dialogs where I loose control of the application's main loop while the dialog is on screen; not what I want.

I was considering investigating how to access Windows' low-level API, but that sounds like a lot of hard work. An easier solution would be to use Micro$oft's foundation classes but that would bloat the size of the Snes9x .exe and have possible compatibility problems with Borland. The ideal solution would be to ditch Borland altogether and just use M$ stuff but I suspect rewriting the GUI might take me a month or two given the amount of time I have to work on Snes9x. Any other suggestions anyone?

Oh, almost forgot to mention, I now have access to a Voodoo 3 card so you can be sure the next Snes9x release will have no problems with newer Voodoo cards. Also, Lindsey Dubb has submitted some bi-linear filtering code for the mode 7 scaling and rotation effects; for people with faster machines it smoothes jagged lines and generally makes the image nicer to look at."

05/19/2000 - New Pugsy Cheat release! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Pugsy's Cheat has been released for the MAME Emulator. here is the post

"First update since the Athlon upgrade, I thought updates may become more regular with a faster computer - when in fact the opposite is true. I can now do SO much more with a powerful computer that cheat finding has taken a bit of a back seat for a while. This update has to be classified as the biggest single update yet! I've a few changes to the structure of the cheat file which may hopefully allow me to do more regular updates (time permitting), though with the changes to the cheat engine in the next few betas it's going to be a case of 'suck it and see' for now...... I've also decided to archive the old cheat files from this moment on, in case anybody want's them for older MAMEs. Well it's a bit late in coming but it's finally updated, and what an update it now has 26835 cheats for 2071 games (This cheat file is FULLY compatible with MAME 036Final 037Beta1 and 37Beta2). "
Please download Pugsy's Cheat Database from our MAME Emu Section.

05/20/2000 - Pagan Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Pagan website has been updated with some news

"This is the new page layout, I think it rules! Anyways, pagan will change
it's look and function quite a lot up until the next release. Since I
started using FreeBSD at work, I've been inspired by that, as you
might've seen from this page layout (which is actually a real set of man
pages), so in the future versions the GUI will be optional (through plug-
ins) and pagan will become a bare-bones kind of program with only the
      neccessities present.
I want to thank Schibo of 1964(1) (a great N64 emulator) for convincing
me to continue working on pagan !

      Peace, coding and emulation y'all!

05/20/2000 - Mimic Updates! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Mimic website has been updated with some news on the new emulator

"WOW! What a response! 600 hits in the first 24 hours!
Anyway, things are going smoothly and I did a few speedups to the memory handling. Sorry, that there is this little delay in the release as I expect the HWC driver archive will grow quickly once the first release is out. I am doing the responsible thing by making sure that the HWC format is reasonably static before release 1.00. Nobody wants to re-download/re-develop drivers everytime there is a release. So I want to minimise that.
As a bit of a tease here are the HWC drivers that I am testing with:
    • 10 yard fight (Not playable)
    • Bank Panic (Not playable)
    • Bombjack (Playable. Will be with 1.00)
    • Commando (Not playable)
    • Donkey Kong (Not playable)
    • Frogger (Playable with bugs)
    • Galaxian (Playable with missing bullets/stars)
    • Ladybug (Not playable, but 90% complete)
    • Mr Do (Playable with bugs)
    • Pacman (Playable with bugs)
    • Pacman[Galaxian] (Playable with bugs)
    • Pinball Action (Playable with bugs.)
    • Rally X (Playable with bugs)
    • Rygar (Runs for about a second and then crashes the dos box!!!)
    • Time Pilot (Playable with bugs)
As you can see Bombjack is the only one ready to go, with some others not too far behind it.
Also, I would like to thank all of the emu news sites out there giving Mimic a good mention. I wasn't sure that a Z80-only release would go down too well, I thought I would have every body screaming for 68000 so they can play NeoGeo. Guess this means that nostalga is alive and well.
BTW: HWC stands for HardWare Configuration. I didn't put an M for Mimic in the extention as this would also be a rather good way to document boards."

05/20/2000 - Snes9x GL version Beta 1 is released! [Posted by DarkMazda]

Unofficial SNES9XGL version Beta 1 has been released! I've heard good stories about this unofficial emulator. 1st of all, its doesn't have a GUI and It only plays on 1 player mode. But it's still pretty neat in my opinion. You have to use your OpenGL card to run this emulator. Please download it from our SNES Emu Section. Please don't e-mail the creators of the OFFICIAL Snes9x which questions about SNES9XGL. Thx goes to EmuHQ.
